    This 48" - 25 watt Piano Heater is extremely important especially if your piano is located in a humid location, or you live in a humaid State. If you are in an area that rains frequently, there is a high chance your piano action will be effected by all the humidity around it. The piano action is the part where it connects your movement on the keys to the strings. If the action is humid and damp, the felt will expand and cause the mechanism to be non-responsive or stuck. Any metal part will also get rusty which could cause the sound to be muffled.
    This heater can also be used for safes and damp closets.
    This item is pre-owned. It has one small dent, and a portion of the cord has paint on it. None of this effects the operation of the item. This is a good deal. The length of this heater is 48", enough to keep an 88 key piano dry.
